I have been passionate about horses for as long as I can remember because my parents owned and operated Baker Sport Horses, allowing me to become exposed to the amazing world of horses at an early age. I began learning to ride on my own at the age of two with the most kindhearted Thoroughbred gelding. As partners he and I traveled many trails together camping out and going to the beach. When I was six, I started taking lessons at the European Pony School in Santa Rosa and started to assist in teaching beginner lessons by the time I was ten. During this time, I was also a member of Hoofbeats Pony Club and continued my education both in horse management and riding. Through the exposure of Pony Club and the European Pony School I discovered my passion for dressage and realized my goal to one day represent the United States in the Olympics.
When my family moved to Pilot Hill, I began training with Rachel Wade where I furthered my love of starting and developing horses and was introduced to Willy Arts at DG Bar Ranch. After graduating from high school, I had the opportunity to become part of the DG Bar operation as a working student. I had the privilege of working with horses of varying ages and training levels furthering my knowledge of how to implement the training scale to develop balanced, straight, and engaged riding horses of the highest caliber.
Currently, I own and operate KB Dressage where I specialize in training and breeding top quality young horses with a focus on proper balance, straightness, and engagement. I pride myself on always keeping the horses’ best interests, health, and happiness as my first priority. I am continuing my Dressage education with Volker Brommann in Auburn on my personal horses with the short-term goal of competing in the U25 division and the long-term goal of representing the United States in the Olympics.
I look forward to being able to pass on my knowledge and skills in working with you and your horses.
